Exotech is a metals processing company in Pompano Beach, Florida and hasbeen a family owned and operated business for over 35 years.  We recover andrecycle a number of rare and exotic metals such as Tantalum, Niobium,Molybdenum, Tungsten, Zirconium, Hafnium, Nickel, Titanium, Germanium, Indium,and their alloys.  Our products are usedby specialty alloy producers and shipped worldwide. Diverse in-house processingcapabilities, proprietary equipment, and an absolute world class level ofcustomer service ensures our ability to provide superior quality to ourcustomers.

Position

The Manufacturing Associate II will safely, accurately, and efficiently operate production machines, handle metals and equipment, and operate a forklift.

Compensation, Benefits, Schedule, andLocation

·  Compensation: Thesalary range is $19 to $20/hour + Generous Bonus

·  Benefits: Paid time off, medicalinsurance, life insurance and short-term disability insurance is covered at100% for the employee, vision, dental, and long-term disability insurance, and401k employer matching up to 4% of salary

·  Schedule: Regular work hours are generally 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with flexibility

·  Location: This position requires the Manufacturing Associate II to work from the production warehouse in Pompano Beach, FL.  

Responsibilities

·       Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines

·       Control and adjust machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications

·       Follow all safety practices and procedures in the plant

·       Safely, accurately, and efficiently handlemetals and equipment

·       Operate a forklift when moving materials inthe plant

·       Move metal parts in and out of trays, drums,and boxes

·       Fold and cut metal sheets and clips

·       Calculate the appropriate weight of finishedmetal parts and package material for shipping

·       Maintaina clean and organized work environment

·       Participatein on-the-job and cross functional training and transfer skills into daily work

·       Follow company standards and procedures at all times

·      Operatebasic hand and power tools

·       Communicateand collaborate with other departments within the plant

·       Performother duties as assigned

Qualifications

·       High school diploma, GED, or equivalentrelated experience required

·       Must have at least 2 years of experience in amanufacturing production environment

·       1-3years of experience driving a forklift is required and forklift certificationis preferred

·       Musthave experience using basic hand and power tools

·       Must have a history of maintaining a positive attitude andsupporting a respectful workplace

·       Abilityto work as part of a team and assist co-workers when needed

·       Previoushistory maintaining a willingness to seek out additional roles andresponsibilities is required

·       Attention to detail is mandatory    

·       Forklift experience is mandatory, andcertification is preferred

·       Must have excellent basic math skillsincluding addition, subtraction, and multiplication

·       Must possess problem solving, communication,and teamwork skills

·       Mustbe dependable and punctual

·       Ability to work independently

·       Required to read and write English and followverbal instructions

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced workingenvironment, be detailed oriented, and focused

·       Flexibilityand self-motivation are required.

Withor without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able tostand for the duration of an 8-hour shift with appropriate breaks and performtasks that require fine dexterity and repetitive motions using the arms, hands,wrists, and fingers.
